• First things first!

  ▮ This is independent roleplay blog for Yusaku Fujiki from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. He's roleplayed as mostly canon with his default verse being the current point in the anime.

  ▮ This is also a side blog! So follows will come from my main blog to this one: @soulburnings if I'm not following you already.

  ▮ Because VRAINS is still an on-going anime, my portrayal of Yusaku, his headcanons, and his default relationships with certain characters are subject to change as his canon material progresses. Changes in his canon, however, won't affect anything involving him in AU verses.

  ▮ Note that most interactions here will take place with Yusaku as he is in the real world, but depending on plot and whether your muse can (or wants to) access Link VRAINS, interacting with Yusaku as 'Playmaker' is also possible.

  ▮ However, unless Yusaku specifically makes it known or it's plotted beforehand, your muse shouldn't know the connection between Yusaku and Playmaker. Yusaku is very careful to make sure only a select few know about his online persona and those outside those select few are often kept in the dark for a reason.

• Triggers.

  ▮ While Yusaku is careful not to mention his traumatic past around anyone he doesn’t trust completely, common (possibly triggering) themes with Yusaku involve the mention of kidnapping, torture, electrocution, and starvation.

  ▮ Yusaku suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from his involvement in the Lost Incident; an experiment Yusaku was kidnapped for at a young age that caused him to be subjected to nothing short of torture for six months. While eventually being rescued and being in perfect physical health now, the Incident left a lasting impression Yusaku is still currently trying to work his way through over ten years later.

  ▮ Though he’s had professional counseling in the past to help cope with his traumatic past, Yusaku’s most obvious symptoms that still persist include nightmares, flashbacks ( body memory and visual ), self-isolation, trust issues, and emotional detachment.

• Main RP partners / Exclusives.

  ▮ While I'll always be up for rping with duplicates of the same muse, this blog does practice having main roleplay partners! These are typically the muses Yusaku will go to first or reference in specific posts, headcanons, and certain plots.

  ▮ 'Mains' usually develop through interaction, both OOC and IC. If we interact a lot, then there's a very good possibility I'll consider you a 'main' for my muse.

  ▮ That said, I very rarely (if ever) practice exclusives. I may have partners I prefer more quickly than others, but I won't ever turn down an interaction because of who I'm already interacting with.

• Shipping.

  ▮ Yusaku is currently (very selectively) multiship!

  ▮ My preferred ships for Yusaku are Datastorm (Yusaku/Ryoken); Firestorm (Yusaku/Takeru); Disaster (Yusaku/Takeru/Ryoken); and Angelmaker (Yusaku/Aoi), but I ship chemistry! If a ship looks possible, then I've got no problems exploring it.

  ▮ That said, I won't tolerate ships being forced on me or my muses and I'll immediately drop any threads where it happens. Yusaku isn't here to be ship fodder and honestly isn't that interested in relationships anyway, so don't assume I'm shipping your muse with mine unless we've at least talked about it beforehand.

  ▮ Usually when I settle on a ship partner, they get priority to my muses in all canon/AU verses, but unless otherwise listed, all verses are considered their own seperate universes and ships between different muses don't interfer.

  ▮ I typically prefer to ship my muses with canon characters from their series over OCs. This isn't anything against Canon x OC ships! I just find them more difficult to work with unless a ton of plotting is involved.

• Activity.

  ▮ This blog is selective! Meaning I actively follow those I'm interested in roleplaying with and am more likely to interact with mutual followers.

  ▮ I do have a life outside tumblr RP, so don't expect me to be around my blogs every second of the day. I'm usually good about replying to threads within a few days, but don't expect every draft to be done everyday.

  ▮ My blog does post replies on a queued schedule when I have work or other activities that keep me from being online that day. These threads are usually marked with a queue tag.

  ▮ Keep in mind that this blog isn't the only one I manage either! I run several blogs within the YGO RP community and if I'm not here, chances are I'm working on one of my other muses. You can find a complete list of muses I manage here!

  ▮ Note that Yusaku is a side blog, so activity will more than likely be sporatic at best here anyway.

• Following.

  ▮ To keep it simple: if I follow you, I definitely wanna rp with you!

  ▮ That said, I also like to keep my dash clean and relevant to my fandom. I'm selective with who I follow, but if you're obviously putting effort into your muse, then I'm usually glad to see you on my dash!

  ▮ I'll occasionally do random starters for followers, but don't expect them.

  ▮ The best way to start up an interaction with me is to like one of my starter calls or send in a meme! I reblog these pretty regularlly, but jumping into my IMs is also a good way to start something too!

• NSFW.

  ▮ While Yusaku is still canonly underage, the mun behind the blog is 21+, so I'm cool with rping more adult themes in a setting where it makes sense.

  ▮ I'm not really into writing smut outside RP partners I've known OOC for forever however, but that doesn't mean I won't explore other areas of NSFW topics either. Violence, trauma, and other touchy subjects I'm typically okay with including in threads with a little plotting.

  ▮ I don't have any specific triggers I need tagged, but if I reblog something without tags and it's obviously triggering for you, let me know!

• Icons / Artwork.

  ▮ 95% of the art found on my blog isn't my own unless I've said otherwise. I usually try to keep credit attached when possible, though most of my source material is pulled from official and canon sources.

  ▮ However, all icons, graphics, and blog pages were edited myself, so please don't take things from my blog without at least asking first!

• Behind the muse!

  Hey there! I'm Kasa and I'm the dork behind this portrayal of Yusaku! I'm a 21+ year old girl living on the east coast of the US who probably spends more time around her computer than she should!

  I work full time in a hospital as a lab tech, but my real passions are art, design, animation, concept, and graphics. I'm a self taught artist and web designer with enough experience in digital media to start my own class, but both are hobbies I've been pursuing since middle school.

  I’m a long time resident of the YGO RPC (and even longer resident of the tumblr rpc in general) so chances are you’ve probably seen some of my other muses around. I tend to hover around the Gx, Arc-V, and Vrains side of things more than anything though, so that's where you'll find my most active characters.

  Overall, I'm just here to have fun, so don't feel too intimidated to talk to me! I promise I’m one of the easiest people to get along with that you’ll ever meet.

  PRE-ANIME CANON

  Aloof, distant, and antisocial, Yusaku isn’t interested in making friends. In fact, unlike a lot of teenagers his age, his goal seems to be to avoid being noticed at school, happy with his quiet place in the background of society. He doesn’t want attention and can be rather rude and sarcastic to those who try to give it to him, too. The world hasn’t been a kind place to him, so he sees no reason to pay it back.

  Unknowingly to most though, there actually is a reason for Yusaku’s standoffish and secluded behavior. Just nothing he’s willing to tread through the bad memories to tell anyone about.
